Is interior ambient lighting and memory not linked?

I am wondering if the interior ambient lighting is not something that gets saved with the memory settings. Basically what I’m trying to do is driver 1 will be my daytime mode as I like the bluish/purple color, but I feel that’s too bright for night time so I want to set a driver two to the exact same settings, except for a more subtle color for night driving. No matter what I do I cannot get the interior ambient lighting colors to save with the memory. Are they completely independent and not an item that saves with memory? If so, that’s kind of surprising, you would think that something that would be part of the driver profiles or memory settings. If not, I guess it’s not the end of the world as I do have the ambient lighting menu in my favorites, but it would be nice just to press the door panel memory button and have it instantly change whether I’m driving it day or night.

On the MBUX cars lighting is saved in the profile setting. You would have to create a separate profile.

oh ok and that isn’t tied to the memory settings that can be selected for easily with the door buttons? With the profiles I’d still have to go through menus on the main screen I believe.

No its not tied to the seat memory. Once you set up a profile it will remember the ambient light settings.

With the profiles set up, a window will pop up on the middle screen each time you start the car.
That is where you choose your colours...... and external and internal lights.... and horn on door lock ...... and sound set up.....

Mind you, it takes a bit for the window to pop up and normally it is exactly the time I press the destination in the navigation and that unwillingly starts loading the the 1st preset ..... I did not figure out how to put my profile as 1st

Also I have set the profile shortcut into my favourites for a quick access.............. to change it back quickly after the "navigation selection" click

Definitely look into it. You need to set it up online and not in the Mercedes Me app.
