E63s Daily Driver
I'm seeing a lot of 18+ E63s for 60-70k. Other than bad mileage, is there any faults with this car for someone who does 15,000 miles a year? I'm reading the transmission can be a little jerky?
I'm cross shopping a 19+ RS5 as well as a newer S6.
Just my opinions, of course.

Although my preference would be S+ mode, I am finding myself more in S mode due to this ehm frenetic mode called S+. It can be fun, if you love a car that is like a tightly wound up spring and ready to pounce... maybe sometimes, but not all the time, for me. I do use S+, but not often...

An E63S as a DD will be a ton of fun. Find a low miler (<50K) and see if you can get additional extended warranty up to 75K miles or 3 years... quite a few warranty providers abound... and grab one if you can find it...The E63S is truly the ultimate sport-lux car in the MB mainstream lineup. Not a fan of the M5/M5C nor the RS/S Audi... so may be a tad biased here.

The transmission is something that sets the V8 AMGs apart. Like a dual clutch it uses a wet clutch instead of a torque converter, which gives it a more responsive and direct feel and that can occasionally result in jerks if you don't modulate the throttle accordingly. Modern Audi S/RS models as well as BMW M models are easier to drive fast as the torque converter smooths things out, but it is also less engaging and more numb. Audi switching to the ZF8 with the B9 RS5 was partly why I switched to AMG.
Just like my RS5 before, I drive my C63S coupe mostly in manual mode (mine is a 2019 with the much better 9-speed MCT. I was not a fan of the older 7-speed MCT). It's just more fun, more engaging and you can control the shift points, ultimately making it more pleasant to drive. I have my Individual mode set up with most everything like S+, but the suspension a notch down in S and most importantly the transmission in M. So one button press on the steering wheel with the new AMG Drive Unit sets the car up exactly how I want it. I love the increased driver focus over the Audis. Audis were just always a bit conservative overall.
Since the reason you are looking for a change is how boring and numb the Model 3 is (not surprised at all BTW), you might find what you are looking for in an AMG. They are definitely not boring and numb, but I can't say the same about Audis.
EDIT: Just so you know, but you are technically in the wrong forum. We have separate forums for the AMG models here, because AMG models are really quite different from the regular Mercedes-Benz models. The W213 AMG forum is here: https://mbworld.org/forums/w213-amg-214/

At 62, would daily the new Z06 and M4 CSL too as long as I keep the NM Residence. The trip to Vegas in those cars can be done in 8-hours even with that speed trap in Wickenberg and In-N-Out Burger Pit Stop. Don't have a garage yet at GA residence until Son graduates from Tech hopeful in 2026. Would also have to avoid the life sucking traffic/potholes in ATL, DC, and NYC. But 2023 Chevy and M4 CSL is not in $60K-$70K price range!!!
(Need to return to Japan Town in Bay Area for those delicious Soba Noodles where another Ex moved to the area 1987 for her first HP Gig, later moved to Detroit for Chrysler Gig before Government Bailouts...)
Edit:
For 2021 the AMG E63s 4matic+ was face lifted with a more compliant suspension in Comfort mode, more sedate exhaust note, upgraded MBUX, and different steering wheel. Some think the '19-'20 E63s had the better steering wheel than 2021 and 2023. 2018-2020 E63s, for $60K-$70K+ has the analog IWC clock that is desirable and I wished I had on my 2021.
The 2019 AMG C63s should be considered with its cheaper price tag than the heavier 2018+ E63s and more joyful RWD setup if that is your passion.
For $60K-$70K would also consider the 2019 BMW M850i xDrive with its 4.4 liter 523-hp TTV8. It basically looks the same as the current 2023 model that goes for nearly double that with options today.
