E220 D Se Tailgate not lifting
HI all,
i`m looking for some advice regarding my E220 D SE(estate/ station wagon) power tailgate. When i try and use the key to open and lift the tailgate, the latch disengages but the tailgate does not rise. When i touch the actual button next to the reverse camera it lifts no problem. The same applies to closing the boot with the key, it closes fine and locks with the button on the tailgate. additionally to this the switch to release the boot inside the drivers door does not lift the lid.
Hopefully this makes sense and someone can help?

Did you try holding the button on your key and/or the trunk button on the driver's door for a few seconds?

My sedan remembers the opening limits. If I wish to change the automatic opening size I physically move the lid to the desired position. Try this on your wagon. When the tailgate unlatches open it all the way manually.
