ILS Mercedes W213 steering and headlights problem

Hello
I have noticed an issue in steering rack, in the following sense: When turning to the left, it turns easily, but when turning to the right, a greater force is needed, as how to the left direction is set for comfort, and to the right is a stronger level than sport.

Do you have any idea what could be the cause?
On diagnosis, the car does not show any errors on the modules relevant to the direction.

And another problem, when I want to start the automatic high beam, I get an error - that it is unavailable. The headlights were changed. Maybe the service that changed the Headlights didn't adapt it to the car's camera? [ error codes: U118A02, U118A08 ] -- Can it be solved with a readjustment, or are there more investigations to be done?

Thanks!

Suspect that either the steering rack is broken or more likely that either a steering angle sensor or the sttering module is broken. After replacement of said sensor/module the system will then needed a coding recalibration and you'll be backin business. Suspect that the CANBUS logic is then telling the headlight module not to enable the high beam because it is getting a false steering angle reading so can't switch to high beam as it doesn't know where the wheels are pointing.

I see, you're most likely right, as I also don't have cornering light working.
Also, given the electric steering rack, there is one electric motor handling both left and right turn, or there is one motor for left turning, one motor for right turning? ( in this case, there could also be a hardware issue with the second motor)
Also 2, the easiest attempt to fix the steering issue would be to do a Wheel alignment. Could a wrong toe, Camber or Caster angle influence the steering weight ?

Thanks so much for your help!

I think your best action is to scan the fault code(s) and then go from there. Until the sensor/module/part is replaced and the system recalibrated the CANBUS logic will stop it working properly as it won’t know the system has been corrected
