Anyone Know What Option Code 882 Is?

Try make a long story short. In the last two months my tow away alarm has gone off five times. Four out of five have been between 2am and 4am while parked and locked in my garage. First time it went off I thought someone had broken into my garage and me and Mr. HK went to see who it was So finally last Friday I dropped it off at my local dealer. I just got it back today and they found some odd codes so they updated several software packages including one for the alarm. The paperwork shows the following:
The glass breakage sensor has a malfunction. The limit value for resistance has been exceeded and communication with the alarm siren has a malfunction. Attempted to process faults but they did not have a test plan. After extensive research they were able to determine that the vehicle was not equipped option code 882 which is for both of the components that faults are present for.

So they disable the software for option 882. Anyone know what that option is for a 2020 E-450 wagon? I looked it up in the 2020 E DOG A catalog but found nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Want to make sure they didn't disable a feature I have as an easy fix for my alarm having issues. It is also odd it just started after 30 months of ownership.

This website lists all MB options and codes.
According to them, ''882'' refers to ''Passenger compartment protection with towing-off protection'' and ''Passenger compartment protection (Infrared)''
https://www.namwheels.com/mercedes-e...options-codes/

Then, 2023 W214 E-Class brochure lists ''882'' as ''Alarm system with tow-away protection'' (under Urban Guard Protection Plus). Even though yours is a 2020 W213, this piece of info might still be relevant.

So far, these 2 pieces of info indicate ''882'' is indeed related to tow-away protection.

Thanks so much for the info. In my Mercedes Me app on my phone it still shows as those two features are active and I can turn them off or on via the phone. I need to get some clarification from them as I'd think if they disabled the 882 option then it would not be available via the app.
