Radio presets not available on left hand display.

On 2018 e400 wagon I got recently I noticed some odd behavior and was wondering if anyone knows what going on. Several days ago I switched the drivers side console (between the gauges) to the Radio. I was able to go through my preset stations fine using the left hand steering wheel touch pad. Today it would only show me the currently playing station and when I tried swiping up or down I would hear a click and the small arrow next to the station would highlight like it was trying to do something but it would not change stations. When I selected the radio source I noticed that the presets option was greyed out. When I switched it to HD Radio I was able to change the stations fine. I was never able to switch back to the preset option because it was always greyed out. On the main panel radio source the presets were all there and worked fine. Anyone know what it might be?

So I was able to get this problem fixed by getting my dealer to update the command software from 2.71 to 6.8. Was difficult to get the dealer to do this but finally was successful and the problem is no longer happening. I will reiterate the issues so if anyone is experiencing the same thing then you can get this fixed by getting your software updated.

Problems that I experienced with the radio option on the display in front of the steering wheel between the main gauges:

* sometimes on car start the display would show "-----" (5 dashes) after the initial "Please Wait..." message. None of the mode options to change Presets, FM, AM or satellite would work. Would never recover from this state.
* sometimes on car start the display would show the current station and be on the presets set but you could not change stations by swiping up or down. Bringing up the mode would show the Presets option greyed out. Would never recover from this state unless you added a new station as a preset on the main radio display in the center of the car.
* sometimes on start everything would work fine.

Each of these cases seemed to have about an equal chance of happening. The main radio tab in the middle console always seemed to work fine regardless of the state of the driver side display. After the update this driver side display radio option also seems quicker to initialize and more responsive.
