tailgate indication issue
Hi All,
2019 W213, Electric tailgate actuation.
Fault: Occasional tailgate open indication, before pulling away, when its physically closed.
Temp solution: Open and then close with a slam and car indicates tailgate closed and the universe is in harmony.
One day its going to spit the dummy out and I would rather be ready for it.
Is the position indicating switch at the tail gate lock (fingers crossed) (has been given a good spray of wd40) or at the motorized unit at the top? And what are the part numbers so I get the right one.
For info: We are regular visitors to the beach, with the dogs, and have already replaced due to corrosion, the tailgate mounted shut and lock switches. Probably why I suspect corrosion for this.
