New (potential) owner looking for feedback on camshaft ASAP (2017 e400 wagon)
Vehicle serviced-Camshaft position sensor replacedCamshaft adjuster solenoid replaced
Is this something that can also have other effects? A vehicle inspector I know said that with it being traded right after means that those things that were fixed may have some other hidden things that were not fixed or identified (I think he said maybe oil or something could get into other solenoids or so? Can't remember exactly). Or that there was more things that needed to be fixed which is possibly why it was traded in.
I'm from the Audi world and have been scarred with timing chains, rocker arms, etc. Don't want to buy and inherit problems, esp with such low miles. I tried asking the dealership it used to be serviced at and they were no help.
This dealer doesn't let you take the car to get an inspection, but welcomes mobile inspectors.
The car is mint, so I would love to get it but wanted to get people's opinions.
