2018 E300 fuel cleaner?
Hello everyone
im looking for recommendations for a good fuel cleaner for my 18 E300. It’s the 4-turbo. Nothing majorly wrong, just seems to run slightly rough. Just had my oil changed and air filter changed out.

I have only been using the highest octane an available. Nothing major that I can tell, just not as smooth when shift and driving

What fuel have you been using? I don't put additives in my fuel, but always use Top Tier fuel, specifically Shell V-Power® NiTRO+ Premium Gasoline. If you are not using Top Tier fuel, try a couple of full tanks to see if there is improvement. If not, visit your dealer for a tune-up.

Be careful! The M274 turbo 4 cylinder that you and I both have has been known to crack the number 1 piston due to misfiring from detonation in the cylinder. You could be looking at the beginning of that. If that’s what it is and it’s caught early it can be fixed, it’s not cheap though. If not then you’re looking at $20K for a new engine. If it were my car I’d take it to the dealer.

Using Techron complete fuel system cleaner prior to each oil change.
also using only top tier, premium gas. Cheap insurance
been using this on my 2017 e300 and wife’s 2019 glc300 and both are smooth as can be. 55k on hers and 68k on mine.
