The exact position is in the bin, along with all badging on the back of cars ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

When I used travel to Germany for work and I'd see Mercedes models that hadn't made it to the USA, I'd walk up to it to check out what it was...only to find that most Germans had pulled all of their badging as well.

Are you sure this applies for all MB models in France? For us de-badging (option code 260) is still available even for the W214 model but not for plug-in hybrids. The same for my W223, I asked for 260 but the order system did not allow it. Seems MB wants to advertise their electric cars contribution.

I have heard that MB won't de-badge "hydrid" badges to assist the emergency services (make sense?). De-badging was removed from the UK options list for Mercs about 10 years ago. Frustrating as so many get de-badged and thrown away which reflect marginaly gains in productivity/profit for Merc if they didn't put them on in the first place....

Though i did i asked the dealer to debag, but it still came bagged from the factory.
On delivery they took off the badges on the trunk, but indeed refused to take of the badges on the side (hybrid).
