I have a 2010 VW minivan with a remote start on the keychain but I have to pay ANY amount of money to have the same feature on my 2017 MB which costs me maybe 3 times more than my VW minivan. Isnt that very frasturating?

It is unconscionable! I did not renew/pay for a subscription for my '18 E300. I decided to do without remote start ans vehicle location service. It is not worth the price. I will consider that MB policy when I look for a replacement vehicle. My BMW services do not expire. I owned almost every MB E and S models since 1959 along with a couple of SL's along the way.

I checked my records. MB did not offer a renewal that worked with COMAND. They said it was at end of life.

This was my first MB and probably the last one as well. MB is a disappointment for me in many ways.

I feel your pain, however they don’t use a key fob because of security and safety. The system does a series of checks before starting the vehicle. I agree, shouldn’t be a paid service, although it’s a convenience.

They do very little to sell their vehicles because they know they sell themselves. If you really want one you’ll get it and deal with some of the incompetence like not being provided a spare tire and not providing the room to carry one if you so desire. The compartment below the trunk is almost large enough, they could easily have made it a bit larger to accommodate a spare.
