Has anyone had a similar issue? With the A/C on 7 full blast in Comfort mode seems like the 4-3 shift coming to a stop is very jerky. With the A/C set lower let’s say to a 5 it is normal. Also the problem goes away in Sport mode. Car has 40K miles, routinely serviced.

Took it into my dealer and they reset the transmission. Problem did not go entirely away, but it is better.
Like you I have 45,000 miles on my 2019 E450. I have the extended warranty, so if the problem gets worse, back to the dealer.

Yes: my problem is at lower speeds below 20 mph in comfort. Under light acceleration, there a loud "thud" what in the old days we attributed to a worn universal.

FWIW, for the first 35,000 the transmission was smooth as silk. I had the reset at 40,000 miles and again several weeks ago at 45,000 miles.
Here is what was done:
- 541011 Perform quick test
- 270640 Check automatic transmission (after quick test)
- 271048 Adaptation Perform (after repairs)
- 274863 Flush automatic transmission and torque converter

What they did was reset the calibrations. As I posted it is not perfect, but better and I can live with it.

Do you know if the ATF change is the transmission change recommended at 50,000 miles?

As I have an extended warranty and my complaint was about poor shifting, I was not charged.
My question is, is the work done as per the code, the transmission change or do I still have to do it?
Another way of looking at it, what is the code for the 50,000 mile transmission change?

Thats interesting, the transmission learning procedure I can understand but the ATF change seems odd as the issue is only present with the AC on and in MAX anything below that and it is fine or much less noticeable, i appreciate the input I guess if it continiues to become an issue I will take it in and have it checked out - or just bring on the winter! haha

You are correct as to the recommended change. On this forum the cost of the change has varied between $800 and $1000.
