Winter rim advice

Hi everyone,

New owner of a 2021 E450 All-Terrain here.

I’m currently running the stock tire/rim set up 245/45R19s with a rim that’s 8Jx19 ET38 and I’m looking to get a set of winter rims with separate tires. This is a square (aka non staggered) configuration.

Ideally I would like a square set up with 18 inch rims for the winter.

I’ve found some OEM Benz rims on Facebook marketplace that are 8Jx18 ET43. Seller didn’t say what model so I’m not sure what these came from but I think it’s from a C63 AMG based on the part number which is shown in the photos and is A204 401 39 02

Will these fit on my car? Any input and advice welcome.

Thanks very much,
James

Your photo shows ET45.

The W213 E class OEM 18s are 8Jx18 ET43; so the wheel in the photo mounts the tyre further 2mm towards the outside.

id be interested in others’ thoughts on whether or not this will make it detrimental for traction control, ABS and wheel bearings. My feeling is that for regular street use, 2mm offset shouldn’t be an issue.

FYI: 2 millimeters =.0787 inches.

Should work fine

Ahh thank for you catching the that typo — I said ET 43 but the prospective rims I’m considering are actually ET 45 (as shown on the pics from Facebook marketplace ). Apologies for the confusion.

The difference in offset would be 45mm - 38mm =7 mm

Does that change anything?

the 18 inch wheels have 43mm offset vs your 19s which are 38mm, so my comparison was against the 18”.

I feel the effect will be negligible.

For reference this is the stock 18” wheel for w213 pre facelifts A21340114007X44 that I bought to replace my staggered AMG 20” wheels which are ET20 (20mm offsets) fronts, and 9Jx20 ET43 in rear.

the only people likely to complain about C63 rims is probably your dealer if you take it in for any wheel issues.

Ok thanks for the added information, that is much appreciated. And yes, the dealership was saying the wheels “won’t fit” but I don’t believe them
