ACC power tapping for Dash Cam install

Hi,
I'm trying to install a dashcam, which requires 12v constant and acc. I got all the fuse box assignment diagram from WIS. However I'm not sure if there is any ACC fuse inside the driver compartment.
Wondering where do you all connect the power when installing the dash cam? I really don't want to run the wire to engine compartment or trunk but i guess i have to if no better options?

Attached is a diagram of how to wire a camera at the upper windshield. Not all W213 cars have the footwell outlet.

Here's a write-up of my experience wiring a dashcam in a wagon/estate using the fuse box at the rear of the vehicle. https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...e-install.html

Maybe the Q&A section will give you some ideas for options in your situation.

Thanks for the writing! I actually did read your post before I post this thread.
I tested all fuses under door sill of passenger side, and all of them are constant 12v, not switched. From WIS, document GF54.15-P-1256-48FH, the fuse box F1/3 has all of them under circuit 30t.
I'm wondering if you can identify which fuse # is switched power?

Read this thread. It contains all of the revelant info. You will have to run a wire from the trunk. Keep in mind that even switched power may stay on for several minutes after locking the car. It does not switch off instantly.

That's why I was confused.. You mentioned it's tapping fuse from passenger side fuse for switched power, and I thought W213 is the same.. anyway, thanks.

That wasn't connecting to a passenger side fuse. It was splicing a wire into the passenger footwell socket. As I mentioned, not every W213 has a passenger footwell socket or provision for one.

ok i see!
from the other thread, I see someone was using wiring harness from the rain sensor, which seems convenient. I'm searching if I can get the wiring connector to get the wire split from there.
