How to Maximize Comfort in Vehicle Data

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a used W213 E400 4Matic Wagon, imported from Japan (I’m in Australia). First impressions — the car is incredibly smooth, powerful, and comfortable. I’m loving it so far.

Today, I was exploring the MBUX system and chose Reset to Factory Setting. After that, I noticed two issues:
  1. In Dynamic Select > Vehicle Data, the "Comfort" value shows as 0, even when the car is in Comfort mode (see photo below). It will be set to -1 when sport mode on. Any idea how to get it to 1 in Comfort mode? Could this indicate an issue with the suspension or the 4Matic system?
  2. The ride feels a bit bumpier than before, and the power delivery seems slightly reduced. Could it be that the car was Stage1 tuned, and not it is wiped by the reset? Or just my psychological feeling?
Would really appreciate any insights — thanks in advance!

Disclaimer that my reference point is the W214 with airmatic, but I thought that guage was the ride height and automatically adjusts based on speed. On the AT, it likely raises on the off road mode (don't know the name). You should be able to manually raise it if under a certain speed, but it only lowers when over some speed like 35mph or 46kmph.

Factory reset just resets the Infotainment system back to factory settings. What you are seeing there is the ride height as said above. 0 is normal ride height. In Sport, Sport+ and Eco it lowers to -1 for better aerodynamics and/or handling. You can raise it to 1 by pressing the button in the center console, but it will only stay at 1 below a certain speed.

Since other forum members already answered your question, I just want to say you can see your steering angle and the shocks working individually over a bump..

If you are in Comfort or Sport you will see the level = 0
If you are in Sport + the suspension will go down to -1
If you asked the car to rise it will go to +1

Sums it up nicely and in a concise manner.
