I recently had the Michelin Pilot Sport S5's M01 installed on my E63S. I went with stock sizes 265-35/20 front and 295-30/20 in the rear. I noticed the rear side profile of the tire is much more square than the front. The Pilot 4S did not look like that. I'm curious if this is normal? I attached a pic, the rear tire is the first photo. Any thoughts appreciated.
Not unusual. While width of the tires are identical for the E63 application, tread of the S5 is 1/2 inch narrower than the 4S so it will look less square.
That's not surprising. The Pilot Sport S 5 MO1 you have was not designed for the E63. It was designed for the CLE 53. It just so happens that the size matches the size of the E63. However, the CLE has 11 inch wide wheels in the rear and the E63S has 10 inch wide wheels. It'll look more square on a 10 inch wide wheel.
