2019 E63S intermittent 12V issue
Car ran fine for the first few years. Now there are intermittent 12V issues that the Dealership cannot diagnose as it is ‘above the threshold’ for being a problem. I can drive 3 hours one way, spend the night in a hotel and return to the car the next day and it throws many error messages starting with 12 V Battery issue and initially would not start. Locked car, waited 5 minutes, and it started.
Around town for errands, same error message. Yet parked for 3 weeks while on vacation and no error message. Every 2 weeks, I drive 1 hour away to visit a friend and then drive home, so the car is getting regular freeway miles. I’ve been keeping the jumper pack charged and carrying it with me for when the car strands me. The issue has gotten worse since the battery was replaced 3 months ago.
The dealership keeps making this an owner problem. Their suggestion is to constantly keep it on a battery tender overnight.
Or is there a bad design in the MB software or electrical for this model and I need to consider finding an alternate ride? Otherwise it is an outstanding car to drive.
