Serpentine Belt Tensioner
I’m sure one of the members knows the answer to this very simple question that I’ve forgotten long ago. I want to change the serpentine belt on my W213 sedan E300, 2019. Looking at the serpentine belt tensioner from the radiator end of the car rearwards in order to loosen the belt tensioner and slide in a nail into the hole in the body of the tensioner to take the tension off of the internal spring which direction should the should torx bolt built into the body of the tensioner be turned, clockwise or counterclockwise and can you please confirm the size of the Torx head, 17mm or 19 mm. USE A 12 POINT SOCKET OR YOU"LL RUIN YOUR TENSIONER.
