So engine wise the very least should be pretty reliable. As for all the electronics and stuff, I would hope many issues from the 2nd gen MBUX (NTG 7.0, called myMBUX) should be fixed in the 3rd gen MBUX.

I am in the market for a W214 E53 AMG, but plan to buy one as a CPO (off-lease) in MY2027. It looks like a real AMG monster and the specs should support the look, but we shall see.

I have a 2019 E53 wagon with 35k on it. Fast enough and really practical. I have loved it up until last week when the 48 volt system died and so did the car. Dealership says corrosion in battery wiring harness. No warranty and no parts in North America. Also found out airmatic struts need replacement. Luckily have extended warranty for that. Spend the money and get a 63.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
Thats what really scares me is reliability of these cars. My 2019 E450 Wagon has been super reliable over it's 40K miles and the Twin Turbo V6 is plenty fast enough. It's the 48 Volt Hybrid system that really scares me. I'd rather just have the inline 6 engine alone with maybe a little more boast to bring it up to around 400 HP. That woulda been perfect.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
Does anyone know when the car sits for a prolonged period on a battery maintainer charger does the 48 volt charge at all? If not thats a real issue as I leave the car on a maintainer for months at a time. I might come back and the 48 volt battery would be gonzo and I'd have to wait for it to come from Germany. Gonna really think long and hard about getting rid of my 2019. Or maybe even consider replacing with a decent used 2022/23 E63 AMG. Ride quality improved a lot on those cars after 2020 model year.

ps: upon re-reading the post I think it was a futuristic question and not about the current 2019 E450 Wagon. My bad.

2018 S560 and 2019 E450 Wagon.
Was talking about getting a 2025 re read my posts. I have a 2019 now but am nervous in getting a new e450 only to have issues. Not sure if the 48 v battery issues of 2021-2023 all terrains ever got fixed.

Finished watching both videos, I am underwhelmed by the sound, hopefully it sounds better in person and/or sounds better when it reaches North America.

Both videos were good however the first video, he indicates that the rear-axle steering is not available on the standard E-Class. He says it's only available in the AMG version, but that is incorrect. The standard E-Class with the optional AIRMATIC Package comes with rear-axle steering. You can get this in both the E350 and E450. Maybe that's only in the USA

It's going to be hard to tell until you hear it in person. I thought it sounded pretty good, but I like a quieter car.

Don't get me wrong, but what I mean by sounds good doesn't necessary mean I need it louder, I am talking about the tone, the tone isn't as good sounding as the previous generation E 53 just from the videos.

I am thinking of ordering the new e53 to replace my 2019 w213. have been watching all the videos out there. the latest one from RBR looks promising. The car sounds good enough, and looks very aggressive.
has anyone been able to secure any discount ?

Has MSRP in the US even been made public yet? I would think that has to happen before discounts can be discussed. My guess is that there will be no discounts on the car unless they come from Mercedes. The dealer may work with you on prep and delivery fees as well as the trade in value but I would not expect any discounts off MSRP.

I was too until I watched the RBR video. 2,435kg?! Knew it was going to be heavier, but the wagon will be even more...could be 1,000lbs heavier than my W213 wagon. Crazy. Not interested. Can't imagine where a V8 E63 wagon would end up...almost 6,000lbs?
