W214 Recalls

I received the attached letter in the mail today regarding a recall for the 2024 E350 I leased prior to purchasing my 2025 E450. While I no longer have this car, I thought it would be a good idea to post this for any of you that are impacted by this recall. I checked my 2025 VIN on MBUSA's recall page and it's not impacted. You can also search the NHTSA site for any recalls however searching for the VIN on the 2024 I leased shows no active recalls while the MBUSA site shows a recall. If you are not in the USA you should go to your country specific recall sites.

One thing to note is that MB is saying that "This software update is planned to be performed over-the-air with no workshop visit being required."

MBUSA Campaign Number: 2024090011
NHTSA Recall ID: 24V688

I’ve noticed in the last few days on the center display where it usually shows my phone that the parking assist notice shows up there saying “searching” with the spinning circle even though I have not activated it.
Has anyone else seen this? I noticed this was posted as an issue in the NHTSA link listed above.

That should mean that it's searching for a parking space. Maybe you have it configured to auto-start when under a specific speed?

if so, I did it accidentally. It’s possible as it happened today when I left a drive thru and several times as I was pulling into the driveway. I’ll admit I’m not too techy, but will try to find something in the myriad of menus.
