So unless I am missing something but there is point of uploading this? Unless for example a company buys the car (say trade-in), they will see it?

I don't think anyone sees it other than the owner of the car who registered an account on Carfax. A new owner for the same car will likely not see these either even though it's the same car. It's more for the owner to keep track of their own maintenance and not to provide evidence of maintenance. Nevertheless, I decided to try it out and recorded my own maintenance on my car. It lists it alongside the reported maintenance by the dealership but I believe I am the only person that will ever see they DIY entries. I keep my own detailed notes along with photos of the service being performed and receipts of the materials purchased. If I ever sell the car privately, I will include that info to the perspective buyers. If I were to trade it in, I doubt the dealership will care to even see them.

Thanks for confirming how it works, perhaps just keeping a record ourselves with an app or computer (excel) since there is point of uploading it.

Yes, they would not care one bit. And they would not pay you a dime more than what they would pay for a car that has had minimal maintenance done every 10K. All of this extra maintenance and care only matters, if you intend to keep the vehicle for the long haul.
