Spare Tire Option vs Run Flats?
When I ordered our E350 I ordered the 20's with the black multi-spoke AMG wheels which I just love, but had to compromise and accept run-flats. While we won't use the car much over the winter I can't just side-line it for 4 or 5 months per year so I I'm looking at snows, but they are not run-flats and without a spare it's less than ideal, especially for the wife. In addition, I'd love to go back to the Pilot Sport 4S for summer as I loved them on my M5, but that begs the question regarding a spare. The goo kits just don't cut it IMHO.
I found a possible option for a spare, and wanted to know if others had any experience with this solution. Additionally, I am a bit concerned about how the vendor can make a blanket statement that these wheels will work with no ill side effect: Here's a link to "Modern Spare" Thanks.
