Was just reading this email from the CEO of Benz and it boasted about iwatch capability with the 214 and how it got car and driver car of the year. I don’t see a place on the iwatch app to remote start the car? Even my 2018 s560 with the mbrace app I can remote start that car.

Do you have the latest app on your phone and watch? I could be wrong, but I remember reading that others have successfully started the car from their Apple watch. I have an Android phone and watch so not an option or me.

I’ll have to double check I thought I’d just updated it when I got the car a few weeks ago. Anyone able to remote start the 214 with their iwatch. According to this newsletter above it sounds like the app for the iwatch does more than just unlock the car which is pretty much all mine does. I’m not sure if the digital key would work with the watch either so you could start and drive your car with just the watch and know key or iPhone? To me it looks pretty basic the iwatch app.

My digital key works perfectly with my Apple Watch. The Mercedes App appears to work as intended also, but does not have the engine start option.

On my W213, I had MercedesMe, which had starter on the Watch, but it did not always work. So, with W214, there’s no option to start but that means I don’t have to try and fail with the watch.

Remote start has worked just fine from my iPhone, though.

+1 to not having the option to start the engine over your Apple Watch. Can only lock/unlock and location search as actionable buttons.
