Angry 2024 E350 Check Engine Light

Driving this car since April and have had 4 or 5 problems that I would not normally think I would on a brand new Mercedes. (MUX 3 times, Active Brake Assist, and now this.
Starting to get the feeling this car is a real piece of s***.
Has anybody out there had the check engine light come on?
It took me awhile to figure out what the light even was.
I guess another trip to the dealer is in my future
If you have had this happen to you how was it resolved.?
Do you think I can drive with this and not get stuck somewhere?
Thanks Charlie

Could be a lot of things. The first thing I’d do is check that the fuel cap is sealed tight.

Hey Charlie,
I've also had this happen to me twice since I got the car
It went away after about an hour of being parked for me once. The other time I drove for around 30ish min and after I parked and came back the light went away. For me at least it happened both times when the temperature dropped quickly recently and it was humid outside.
Hopefully it doesn't happen again but if it does I'll put a scanner to it.
Ive also had a couple errors relating to the active brake assist that says "active brake assist functionality limited" which goes away after a couple of minutes. I haven't had these issues after a recent visit to the dealership where they did some software updates and a recall.

Temperature did drop. Had same active brake assist message and did just go away. No messages with check engine so maybe no problem. Today Sunday so will drive it around and if still there tomorrow will take it to dealer. Thanks for the info.

It might be a tire pressure issue when temperatures dropped, more on it here: https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post8710149

You were right. Took it out today drove around for about 45 minutes, closed and locked, came back in about 20 minutes, started up and and the check engine was gone.
Thanks for the tip and thanks for saving me a trip to the dealer
