I'm trying to install a dashcam and need to remove the A pillar trim for wiring. I pried the plastic Airbag clip on the right side but it stayed firmly, compared to some videos showing they came off pretty easily on W212. I'm not sure if I could damage the clip if I pry hardly. Anyone did that successfully?

The W214 has built in Dashcam but in certain countries needs to be manually started each time you start the car

Yes, I saw the option, but it's 1080P so I got a 4K one.

It built in dash cam is not great. Has no audio and no rear view. It's okay, but not as good as many after market cameras out there. For $200, it was a bit disappointing actually. I may buy a separate camera myself and run them both. Don't know if I'm ready to start pulling things apart as the OP is doing.

Regarding the A-Pillar, it should pop off but it may be tight and require some force. Ideally a plastic pry tool right where the clip is. If it's cold where you are, you may want to wait. Those plastic clips are more likely to break when they are cold and they are a bit harder to come loose as well. If you must do it in the cold then a heat gun or hair dryer can be used to heat up the area. Just be careful not to get it too hot. If I do an after market dash cam, it will be in the summer. I've broken too many plastic pieces when it's cold.

The A pillar "AIRBAG" clip isn't the same as the 212 and 213. You need to slightly lift it up and then push the two prongs on the right and left side inwards while pulling out. It's in there very firmly, and I broke the clip myself when installing a dash cam. Also the rear sill trim won't come out without the rear seats being removed so just make sure to be careful when you do that. If you would like I can post pictures of how i routed the wires and which fuses I used!
Here's the part number for the airbag clip

Yes, the temperature seems to be the problem. Definitely don't want to brake the clip. I'll hold until it gets warmer.

Yes, pictures please!
I tried to avoid pull off the A pillar trim and just push the cables into it. The cables are too thick and they stuck at some points. I planned to pull the rear seat down to run the cable, not prepared for removing the seat.
