For handling, you are looking at summer performance tires like PS4s or the new S 5 tires.Originally Posted by Richerw213

HRE's Hands down. Check them out. Best Tire is Michelin. Its going to be expensive but well worth it IMO.

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Michelin tires from poor mileage (8-15k miles) to catestrophic failure. Michelin corporate bought back a set of 4 tires with less than 10k miles. They were replaced with Pirelli's. I've had over 60 years experience driving on every brand of performance tires. Before I switched to flying, I bought 2 sets of tires every year. I will only purchase Continental or Pirelli tires and then only the top of the line performance tires such as DW06 plus or P Zero.

Interesting. I have always had a good experience with Michelin. Running Pirelli snows on my GLE 63S but only have 500 miles on them. Running Continental all seasons on my C43 coupe. On my second set after getting 28K miles from first set. Satisfied with both brands. Running Pirelli summer tires on my AT wagon that came with the car. No complaints so far. The GLE 63 came with Michelin summers that will go back on in April. They were new take offs when I took delivery of the car in January this year. Curious to see how they work out. They are expensive .... that's for sure. About $3,200 for a set of four snows on the GLE63. They are "monsters". I would conclude that the three brands in question are pretty comparable. A lot depends on one's driving style.
