Cigarette lighter socket ?

I'm trying to buy a portable air pump for my car, but most of them require power from a cigarette lighter socket, I don't see one in the car. Am I missing it? Honestly, I'm surprised that the air pumps require those, as I feel like the cigarette socket is becoming obsolete.

There are no 12vdc sockets in my W213 car, but it has a 110vac socket on the rear of the console. It works well with my portable air pump.

Just get one with alligator clips to hook to the battery terminals or get an alligator clip to cig plug adapter.

Check under the glove box, near the center console.

There are many pumps that operate from a rechargeable battery, and that charge from a USB port. They cost a bit more -- $50 - $100.

Greeting: I found the cigarette plug in by accident as dealer said the auto didn't have it. It is located on the left side of the floor of the front passenger. Left side going up and near the floor mat or rug. Use it for my radar, My air pump runs by battery after USB charged.

Not every car is equipped with that socket. There is an old thread about in the W213 forum.

Wrong: on the passenger side, directly under the glove compartment there is a socket clearly marked on it "12V".

Socket is indeed on from passenger side, on floor to left of glove compartment as someone mentioned here. They are available in W214.

Does anyone have a W214 without a 12vdc socket on the passenger side floor? I ask because the W213 came both ways - with and without a floor mounted 12 vdc socket depending on configuration.

I would assume I have one because my E53 came with a tire pump instead of a spare?

On the EQS SUV MB does not include the passenger footwell 12v socket if your car was delivered with run flat tires. May be the same on the W214.

I mean good reason but I seen ones without the pump that also have that port. Now I wonder if it was simply a standalone option or part of some multimedia package.
