MBUX 3.2.2 update thread
What I should have done was get the battery fully charged with the charger before doing the update. This combined with keeping the charger on while doing the update should have kept the battery well above 12.5v the entire time of the update. I'm going to try that next time and see how it goes. This was an experiment on doing the long update without having to drive the car. I would rather not let it idle for as long as these updates take and don't want to take an unnecessary trip every time I need to update. The last update (3.2.1) was done while on a road trip where I started the process 2 hours before my final destination where I knew I would be driving non-stop the rest of the way. It took all of 90 minutes to finish and I wound up stopping shortly after for a bathroom break which allowed the update to take effect after restarting the car.

Sounds like a plan, I don't see why charging it beforehand wouldn't improve the situation. Thing is with a 48V mild hybrid system, that battery also needs to be charged while driving so it takes even longer for the 12V battery to be charged with normal driving.
May I curiously ask why didn't you buy a CTEK? They made the OEM MB chargers as well as the charger for a lot of other brands including Rolls-Royce: https://mbworld.org/forums/coupe-roa...ml#post8548131
