MBUX 3.2.2 update thread
- “Hey Mercedes” now appears to listen continuously to both front occupants. Previously, it would only actively listen to the driver when they were alone. When a passenger entered the vehicle, activation required explicitly saying “Hey Mercedes.”
- With the latest update, the system responds even when a passenger is seated without needing the wake phrase. It now recognises and processes voice commands more naturally from both the driver and passenger.
- I have also noticed an improvement in the phone reminder feature. If a phone is left in the car, the system now provides up to three different warning prompts instead of repeating a single phrase.
- In addition, there seem to be some bug fixes related to the lighting system, which now operates more reliably.

Another change I’ve noticed is the ability to customise the Digital Light welcome pattern. Previously, I only had options like Digital Rain and AMG Pattern, but now I can add my own designs and personalise it further.
Interestingly, I had a similar customisation feature on my C300e with MBUX Version 2, two years ago. However, on my E53, this is definitely a new addition for me as well.
