Putting your own pictures on the passenger screen is not possible

In other cars like the EQS I believe its possible, but not on the W214. At least not yet. Im hoping that one day, we can configure it to have multiple items such as the functional compass, a clock, and perhaps some vehicle stats or additional details of a navigation trip. For now, I keep the compass up since its functional and easily seen from the driver seat.

Clock on my 220D

I keep mine in general at the clock view. The passenger screen is not used much by my wife, she did follow some live tennis scores on it so she is happy

Nice actually to meet a fellow 220d owner, I have had mine since September, it’s a brilliant car and I love mine.

The clock view is nice, but with it having no numbers or even tic marks, its hard to read at a quick glance. Therefore, from a function standpoint its not very good IMO. It does look nice though. Since there is a digital clock on the driver display and the center display its also a bit redundant. That is why I like the compass. Its easy to read quickly and it looks great.

Hi L1Wolf
Thanks for the confirmation, I was assuming this was the case, I do hope your idea of being able to have multiple useful items on the passenger screen is possible, Is this something that Mercedes do, I mean add features, this is my 3rd e class since 2017, a W213, then W213 Facelift and now this W214, I don't ever recall any features being added to any of those cars systems only updates but here's hoping hey, mind you the other 2 only had the central screens so maybe the passenger screen will get some cool new features along the way.

Hi patchthefish
Nice to meet you also, I have been waiting since January for mine to arrive, I am very impressed with the ride quality of this one over my last W213 Facelift, this model has tyres with air in them rather than those awful run flats my previous car had so maybe that's making the ride better, my last e220d was a night edition premium plus, 20" rims, the last 18 months of ownership was horrific, I am in the UK and the roads are grim, pot holes everywhere, I went through 2 brand new alloys, 1 front 1 back, had at least 10 weld repairs and 4 new tyres, you only had to sneeze near the car and a wheel or weld repair would break again, the rims were so thin on the inside edges, I have a few issues with the new car, the demo I was given had 4 zone thermotronic climate control, I was expecting this in mine but no, its been removed from the spec, I was also expecting the dash cam and the traffic light assist and augmented satnav that comes with that camera but that's gone also along with the 3d drivers display (wont miss that), I did read online there was an issue with camera supply and they pulled these features because of that shortage, I can live without those features but the 4 zone climate is a real bummer, for a £73000 car you would expect some sort of climate control in the back, the last one had it, I am in discussions with the dealer over this as I was fully expecting it, Youtube on the passenger screen works great though, I have the drivers assistance pack too, some nice features in that.

Hi regor60
Thanks for the clarification.

Hi I am also in the Uk Glasgow to be more precise and also has a W213 with run flats , terrible road noise. So my car is a premium so did not come with climate control in the back. I do have the Dashcam so you not having this is really odd. When I got my car delivered we had a similar bad experience with the dealer informing me that the car would have a sunroof but no passenger screen. Well it was unveiled with the opposite, no sunroof but a screen . We were gutted, but decided not to make too much of a fuss. The car appears so much more refined and quiet compared to the last one. Mercedes really gave a big problem with defining exactly what is on each car. I was handed the computer build sheet which is not exactly readable. Since September the car has been reliable apart from a couple of software glitches.

Hope you continue to enjoy yours

Hi again, has anyone had any luck getting Movie files to play, I can get the mkv files to play and they look amazing but I can’t seem to get audio, I have tried files with dts and Dolby AC3 tracks but nothing, I have seen mentioned that the system is Dolby Atmos compatible so I am surprised the AC3 track didn’t work !
