mine must have been on the same ship, big difference is it got to my dealer this past weekend so I’m wondering what went on at the port

Cars are held at the VPC until a truck load that includes your destination is dispatched. The result is that dealers with higher volume get faster delivery than dealers with low volume.

That seems to be the case here, I got worried because my last ordered car ended up with resprayed bumper covers from damage at the port

I picked it up yesterday, put 75 miles on it, love it, brakes will take some getting used to but really I just want to find a way to completely disable the fake engine noise completely and I’ll be ecstatic

ordered the platypus front plate mount and should have it tinted next week and maybe wrap the front end

has anyone put xpell ultimate stealth on the infotainment screen?

Check the fuse block and pull the correct fuse. There should be a list of fuses and function on a placard near the fuse block.

I thought the fake noise was so you can hear that the car is on when in EV mode.

that’s the exterior noise. The interior noise is some marketing people who think that drivers want this nonsense.

I’ll try tomorrow, it would be similar to the VW Soundaktor BS where if you disconnect the module the sound stops which would be awesome, what’s annoying is every demo video I’ve seen shows an MBUX menu that I don’t have… same sort of way we don’t have apple music at the moment but what a dumb thing to remove

My PPF guy put a matte film on both screens. Highly recommend it…no fingerprints.

You can turn the fake engine sound off in all modes. In EV mode there will be a slight EV hum at idle and low speeds.

thanks,
I can’t find an option to disable the piped in sound, the EV sounds don’t bother me at all it’s the fake downshifts more than anything

I generally drive in B if not in EL…it doesn’t downshift aggressively in B like it does in S (I have S+ disabled).

.
It is "Sonoran Brown" paint code 771 in the E class catalog.
I couldn't find any reference to velvet brown LD8T in the E class paint catalog, but it is in the VW lineup.

Just took delivery of my E53 and tbh in my daily use case, an "E35" four cylinder PHEV with the same styling plus airmatic would have worked fine for me!

Given his review of the E450 he owns, the E53 review is prety much exactly what I expected, and he makes good points. That said, the E450 wasn't an option for me as I don't dig the "all terain" plastic cladding look that's popular on what few wagons are left out there.

agree the plastic cladding is what pushed me into the E53 as well. That being said, the AMG is a harsh ride.

I had a previous gen E450 AT like his but I disagree with his two car solution being better. I really liked the E450 a lot, and it was indeed more practical and comfortable. But even with optional 20s and in sport mode all the time it was squishy on its air suspension, and despite the test numbers it felt…very capable and competent. I’m fortunate to have some very fun sports cars but still want a more focused vehicle to drive daily a schlep dogs around in…quicker steering, smaller wheel, more supportive seats, better handling with ride comfort less of a priority.

I’m an odd one here, I’ve driven a 2023 E450 All Terrain for the past 3 years, and I just got a 2026 E53 Wagon, and to be odd about it I/we kept both wagons. The AT is exceptionally comfortable, I have done a 700 mile trips in it (1400 round trip), and a few 300 mile trips (600 round trip) and it’s exceptionally comfortable, squishy over bumps, gets great mileage, fits hockey bags or sails or my bike with the wheels off. It is a great car. It is not a fun car. Nothing about driving it says “omg” and that’s not really a bad thing - it is a great car. The E53 is “wow this thing is planted” and “holy crap that is fast” and somehow also “wow I didn’t use any gas today at all.” Yet it also fits a hockey bag, fits sails, or fits my bike with the wheels off. They are different cars with different target audiences, and they are both great in their own similar yet slightly different environments. For now at least I’m 100% content having both even if others find it a bit odd.

Edit in; as a bonus all my roof rack parts from the w213 fit on the w214
