MBUX Crashed and not restored after reset
I attempted to clean wipe the screen without shutting down the system, the result was that the MBUX system in my 2025 E class crashed , responding sluggishly and rendering some menus non-functional. This is the second time in 2 months to have a system crash. Finally I had to reset the MBUX and start over. Upon logging back into my profile, all of my system settings were gone, forcing me to re-enter them which was time-consuming. Shouldn’t it automatically restore all of my profile options? Is there any way to backup my setting cause I know this will happen again?

I've cleaned my screens hundreds of times while it's running and never had an issue. Sometimes it won't even register a touch, but most of the time it will just move the map center a bit and then I just hit the center or home button. I doubt MBUX crashed because you cleaned the screen, but it's awful coincidental.
Regarding the crash and the profile restoration, your profile should sync to the cloud if you have it setup to do that. It's in profile settings by tapping the profile icon in the upper right. If it's on and you still didn't get the profile to restore them there may be other things wrong. There have been a few reports of MBUX crashing on this board. Some have had to bring it in for service to get it fixed.
