Mercedes Me account not synced to car

Mercedes Me account not synced to car

So I picked up my E 53 wagon yesterday and everything is beautiful. One thing is that I cannot get the car to login and sync with my Mercedes Me. The car shows up and is controllable from the app on my iPhone no problem. The issue is the car does not show that it is logged in to use digital extras and such. I called the support line and they tell me that there is some sort of server upgrade going on and that it likely will not work until mid October or early November. Does this sound right? Thanks so much.

I can only guess that because it is a new model for the US market, the Mercedes me backend has not been updated fully to support it/identify it. The Mercedes me infrastructure for the US and Canada markets is completely separate from the rest of the world, which has had this model available for some time now.

I’m surprised your salesman didn’t get you set up at delivery. Or at least attempt it..

they did attempt…. But didn’t work. They said it could take 24 hours. That was 2 days ago.

Mine was set up and working - the dealer managed to add the car to my account and I have full access and a profile set up. Maybe try and remove and have them add the car back to the app?

I am having the same issue. Full functionality in the app but when I scan the QR code in the car it gave me error message in the app. I was able to add digital key though.

Weird.

Weird.
EXACT same for me. Digital key does work. Profiles not at all. I have called support many many times. They have escalated for whatever that is worth.

Purchased car on Friday. The profile feature started working today (Tuesday). Seems to take some time…. Happy it’s working!

it’s weird. I’m not really sure. I scanned the QR code (after having done so for days probably a hundred times) and on Tuesday it just worked - but I still got the error message on the phone and the it immediately worked after that. Good luck - I think it’s just buggy and eventually sorts itself out.

I finally got it to work. Had to delete the car from my account and app and then scan the QR code to re-add it. Then it worked smoothly.

Funny thing is, when I talked to MB CS, the rep told me it’s because the drive profile function is being sunsetted. I guess they really don’t know what they are doing LOL

they told me that one of the many times I called in. I think that is wholly and completely unrelated and has to do with some prior version of personalization that was retired years ago. In my experience, the support on the phone was beyond useless.
