From your experience, if I want to have my new car February 1st, by when should I place the order?

Depends on where you are in the country…the car only takes a few days to build…shipping time is the biggest variable. I would say you want to target a build date late November or early December for west coast, and late December for east coast. Allocations become available to dealers a couple months before build dates.

I don’t think it’s available yet. I thought you may have seen one if you’re about to place an order.

There’s contradicting opinions as to whether there will be a refresh in model year 2027 or 2028.

A refresh after three years would be unprecedented and make no sense, and there have been no spy shots to indicate there will be. That’s fact, not opinion.

The EV E-class is a different vehicle.

Totally agree that a MY 2027 refresh would be unusual. I think there’s been speculation that the refresh might occur early to align the ICE and EV models but MY 2028 or 2029 refresh more realistic.

AFAIK as a separate class the EV is discontinued and replaced by the E class with various power options - gas, diesel, electric - depending on market.

1. They are not combining the E-classes, at least not now. 2. The 2027 EV C-class has debuted; it’s already May so I don’t see the EV E-class being revealed until next year for 2028.

The 2027 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is set to be released in 2027 and will replace the current EQE model.
It will be offered as an electric sedan alongside the existing combustion-engine and hybrid versions of the E-Class.

I ordered a 2027 Mercedes E450 about one month ago. My car will be built July 16th with anETA of August 31st. The current generation E class came out as a 2024 model year. This will be the 4th year of this generation.

That is a quirk of North American marketing. Elsewhere, cars are identified by their production date.

The articles I read were for model year 2027, not 2028 models, that will be first released in 2027.
