If I purchase this and a 82mm TB I can bolt it up to my stock setup? I will need the Y-coupler for the airbox obviously.

pretty sure you still have to weld the plate to the snout.

Have you ever thought about making an adapter to bolt straight onto the original snout with the 82mm pattern, that way you can remove the 82mm and revert back to the 74mm anytime if there are issues, for example trying to debug the 82mm hiccup that some get, or reverting back to an as stock looking vehicle as possible

with the flange everything is pushed back. Depending on the thickness of the flange, the stock air boxes wont fasten to the valve covers any more.
