what are some good RACING CHIPS?
what up MB WORLD? so i need a racing chip for my clk500 i want to add atleast 50 hp to the car. and i dont want exhaust, or intake, or headers...i want a CHIP..so..what chip do i got to buy? how much? how many hp will it add? i dont know anything about this stuff...so hopefully i get some feedback..

you want 50 hp with out any of that stuff, simple. IMPOSSIBLE! unless u go nitrous, but you probally don't want that either. Only turbocharged engines, get that kind of a power increase with just a chip.
realisticly you'll get like 25 HP, with the absolute best tune money can buy, without getting things that actually help performance, which is everything you listed as you not wanting to get. however as you said you are a novice about this, here are a few other things that would really help performance for your car, but from what you said, you probally wouldn't want to get these either, they include but are not limited to; camshafts, throttle body, phlonic spacers, highflow cats, forced induction (turbo, supercharger) injectors, port polish, lighter/stronger pistons, crank, cams; bigger injectors, different timing, higher flow heads, bore and stroke kit (this would go along with the new pistons and crank), sleve the chambers, improved ignition system, liquid 2 air intercooler (for the forced induction), and last but not least a LSD, because after doing all of this you'll be around 1000 hp and those factory 245/40/17 in the rear will need a little help not spinning.
Or you could just badge it CLK55 /////AMG, from what i've seen here in town the guys that do that drive like thay have that extra 50hp. until i pull up next to them with my exhaust, intake, chip and headers.

why dont you want an intake or exhaust? They are easy mods. Like the above post said, you will not gain 50hp on your car with just a chip. You might and i emphasize the might part, gain 50 horsepower with a chip and intake and exhaust.
