Hey -- A bit of advice for what its worth. I used to want an Eisenmann exhaust until I found out that a pair of Kleemann headers will give you a noticeably deeper and louder exhaust note. Hit up Cory @ Kleemann and see if they are still on sale....I got mine when they were on sale for $1,500. The biggest difference is that an Eisenmann exhaust doesn't really add much power to the E55s because the stock exhaust is very efficient. However, the headers will add 30 to 40 hp (without a tune) and still give you that deeper exhaust note. I had my headers installed this past Monday and had a before and after dyno performed. Here is the link to a post that discusses the results:

Much of the power gain from the Kleemann headers is due to the fact that installing them requires removal of the car's primary catalysts. If you live in an EPA gulag like me, removing the front catalysts is NOT an option.

Shorties by themselves are good for maybe 15 rwhp with no other mods or tune to go with them.

As part of the recent Kleemann sale, they actually reprogram your ECU so that the 'check engine light' doesn't come on. As a result, you can pass emissions. Talk to Cory if you have questions.

the kleeman header set up also comes with 2 downpipes that replace the primary cats. i only have secondary cats on the car now. i posted a thread in the E55 forum comparing this setup with the straight pipes vs the vrp x pipe for the resonator delete but i dont have any drive by videos with this setup yet.

https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...ds-better.html

u can also go to my videos on youtube to see some driveby videos with the renntech shorty headers and resonator delete with straight pipes. the kleeman setup is much better sounding because the removal or primary cats really opens the car up.

They both sound mean. I'd have to hear the car under load before I make a decision on which sounds better. As for now I like the X-Pipe.

I agree. The X pipes sound better. Most importantly, the Kleemann headers are a better use of your money than an eisenmann exhaust IMHO.

The sport exhaust would probably sound good. Not sure about the race exhaust...I have heard it si LOUD! I personally prefer a more stealth sound. Enough that you know that something is under the hood...but not enough that it is loud within the cabin.

If you are interested I have eisenmann exhaust (mufflers) and kleemann headers. I have the Kleemann eprom and pulleytoo.
The Eprom is tuned for stage 4.

For eisenmann I used it for T model, I can ask to eisenmann what is the differerence and if it is possible to install it for the sedan with some small modofication.

you can write me to my mail:
