Do we really believe there is ANY perceivable difference between a 172 and 175? I mean it's only a 1.7% increase....

Jack, just buy a ASP 180 with the additional cooling mods and be done with it. Think about for just one second, what do all the fastest 55's have in common? There's mine, Sal's, Tags, my techs, Mikesamg (stage 2 hanging with stage 3's), benzboi, and a bunch more. Maybe it's not the best mod for the Texas mile but IMO ideal for the 1/4 mile racing...you know, are thing.

I hear you but I'm not sure if I want to upgrade the cooling and if I stay under a 175 I can keep my stock cooling.

From what I know you can keep your stock cooling but for more efficient power you might wanna at aleast do the Johnson pump upgrade and the HE core upgrade...also depends on where you live at, I'm in florida, or as I like to call it Hell's Resort, its alaways 98 degrees and up so its your call...hot car+hot outside temp-Add.cooling=unbalanced HP(loss of HP)

Why are you shying away from cooling mods? The i/c pump & h/e seem like simple, effective mods?
