just so you know the pulley comes off and oem goes on in about 30 minutes. that includes belt and fan removal just to make things easier. whoever you have doing it is ripping you off!

My shop (Oakridge auto:kleeman authorized) in toronto, Canada wants 2 hours of labour @85$/hour. So I don't know of any other shops to trust or should I go to a general shop? Are there any instructions to removing it?

Traded my 2002 c32. I took off my code three performance supercharger pulley before trading. I bought the pulley from HP Autowerks out of Santa Barbara, CA. The pulley was installed early 2010 and had no problems. $450. I'm located in NC.

the tensioner pulley has a torx shaft on the end of the mount bolt. pull to the left allows the belt to slip off.
torque of the center bolt is 20 nm or 14 ft/lbs.
shims will need to installed with oem pulley to ensure proper engagement. the easiest way to adjust is install shims to get the pulley as close as possible to the clutch without touching anywere. usually 1 thick shim 1 thin shim. you may have to do it a couple times to get it right.

The actual installation time on the pulley and removal of the pulley is .5h. The Reason the reason behind the 2h labour charge is the vehicle came in with an over boost condition. We had to first diagnose why the car was creating an over boost condition, then remove the Code 3 pulley that was previously installed and was not correctly shimmed (actually jammed against the clutch plate) We then had to correctly shim and gap the supercharger pulley to the clutch plate for correct function.

This has since solved the over boost condition.

how does a c3 overboost a 3.2 s/c engine when the most boost you will ever get from a c3 is 19 psi?

Mike knows his stuff and does excellent work. He did the Quafe install for me. I highly recommend him too.

no idea man, the weather here is appx -18c ...it was shooting a misfire when i floored it and it said too much air in the secondary air injector and Mike was saying how the supercharger was always active since the spacing was incorrect and the electromagnetic clutch constantly kept it on...anyways idont wanna speak on behalf of mike so i will let him answer this

I got overboost code P0238 with a 181mm pulley with no more that 19.5 PSI (I monitor) at the track in November. Only once out of 30 runs. It happens.
