FS: Magnaflow exhaust (mufflers and tips) Fits W211 E55 and CLS55

I had these on my car for a few months, but the wife says they are too loud so I went back to stock. They fit both the E55 and CLS55 (not sure about E63 or CLS63). I've attached a sound clip below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUFxx8bDfrA

The sound is much deeper than stock. They are boxed and ready to ship to the first person that sends payment via PayPal to rlh23@aol.com. Domestic shipping only please. Looking to get $800 shipped.

Ha, I know what you mean. The tips are not AMG tips. This was a custom setup. I will work on a picture of the tips for you.

$800 for a pair of used magnaflows?

You can buy them for about $100 a pop, than maybe another $50-100 on each of the tips...

At the most you should be selling for $450 shipped imo.

Somebody just finished selling I believe it was renntech or kleeman mufflers with tips for $1000 shipped, and those are considered high end...

Including parts and labor, this system was ~ $1,200. As I'm sure you know, the mandrel bending for the E55 / CLS55 bumper isn't easy. $450 for this setup is low, especially when you take into consideration the labor involvedto make this setup, but to each their own.

Agreed.. Im seeing these mufflers for $100 each online.. So not sure how the tips can be worth that much more.. I am in the market for some of these, but unfortunately not looking to spend $800.. Good luck..

Not to be another "Debbie Downer" but I got a price quote of $1080 for a custom exhaust setup for my CLS55...

A. Pair of polished Borla stainless steel mufflers - $230ea
B. 4 generic AMG like polished aluminum oval tips - $55ea
C. Custom installation - $400

Considering that the Magnaflow cans you have go for around $100ea, I essentially could have had your exact system setup brand new for pretty much the same price you're asking for used...

Wait... so you bought these from this guy for I assume either his asking price of $750 shipped or less, and you originally (initial asking price was $800) wanted MORE than what you paid??????

https://mbworld.org/forums/cls-coupe...550-500-a.html

$750 shipped??????

I bought these from him, and he told me that the setup cost him $1200. I thought I got a deal at the time, that's why I started the post at $800 shipped. After seeing responses that I was asking too much, I lowered it to $700 shipped. If you have an issue w/ that, I fail to see it.

Feel free to ask him about the transaction. I paid promptly, and he is an excellent seller.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but buying used stuff, then using it some more, doesn't raise it's value! In fact, it drops it significantly!
Like I said, I thought I got a deal at the time; hence when I paid $X, I thought it to be worth more than $X. Now that I'm selling it, I realize I my idea of the value could have been too high, so I lowered the price to $700 shipped. Again, I don't see this as being confusing.

Again, thank you for your input. Best of luck finding the right system for your CLS.

If you buy something for $750, thinking it's worth more ($800), then you ask $800 for it. If you find that is too high, you drop the price to $700.

Like I said, best of luck finding the right setup for your CLS. If you're interested in my setup for sale, I'd be happy to discuss.

Fail 1 - You never mentioned the system was acquired USED!

Fail 2
- You never mentioned what you paid for the system, and instead played it off as if it cost YOU $1200 new!

Fail 3 - When you buy and use something such as a USED exhaust system, it will almost NEVER EVER go up in value!

Fail 4 - You don't see why this is confusing?

+1 on the fore mentioned price of $450 SHIPPED!

1) I wasn't asked about if I bought it new / used. When I was asked, I answered truthfully.

2) I never said it cost ME $1200. I said the system cost $1200, which is what the original owner told me he paid for this setup.

3) Depreciation from new - used is much greater than used - used.

I think we need to respect the fact that this is his classified and this is the price he is asking.. However, I believe your going to have a hard time selling this for anywhere near $700.

Why would you pay $700 for this when you can get mufflers and replica AMG tips for $450 from Eurocharged?? Just saying.

Certain people have different sound / appearance preferences. There are people that prefer Eisenmann, people that prefer Meisterschaft, some Renntech, etc. Those setups are much more. I see your point regarding the setup from EC, but like I said, it's all in what someone wants. If they want that system, by all means buy it. If they want a custom system with tips that most systems don't have, they can take a look at mine.

If he wants to ask 5000 dollars, its HIS classified ad, leave it be. We need a moderator for this forum.
