170 d thermostat foe e55
its either a 160 or 170(cant remember)and it will lower your whole cooling systems temp.
This is 10x better that the 10d fan mod since the thermostat is set at 190 and your just fighting the system with the fan on all the time since the thermo will stay shut until it hits 190d.

yeah I bought a used ****ing thermo and had it rebuilt and im reselling it...go troll some other thread.I have 2 t stats and one is a 170 and one is a 160 so ill have to check with the shop witch one they put on.

Skratch .. I bought one from Patrick PTE a while back for my W210 E55 , but I never installed it , do you know if it is the same one as the one you have ? If not I may be interested in yours ( for a possible upcoming W211 ! )
