2023 Order Guide

2023 EQB 350
Built and ordered mine in June. Production date shows 12/3. Price is $7,777,7xx US according to Netstar. Cadetdriver’s experience suggests I won’t see this car until mid-next year. Maybe loan rates will be back down by then. I sure can’t afford 7.5MIL for a car!!!

My 350 arrived at the Baltimore VPC on 10/27 and is sitting there awaiting release of the 2023 model by MBUSA which is planned for December according to inquiries by my dealer.

2023 EQB 350 & 2014 GL350
The VIN is not assigned until fairly close to actual production, but once it's produced your dealer should be able to provide a data card (like the one I posted several posts up in the thread) showing the VIN and the configuration.

Tax Credit
2022 EQB's qualify for $7500 Federal tax credit according to this Fueleconomy.gov posting dated 11/11:
https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/taxevb.shtml
Should also apply to 2023's for which a binding contract was executed prior to 8/16/22. And, I think the same contract date would apply to the 2022's to actually qualify for the credit.

2023 EQB 350 & 2014 GL350
Potential good news for 2023 models? (At least in USA?)
FWIW, I noticed that all the 2023 GLBs on my dealer's lot have the upgraded 549 MBUX "High End" unit which enables additional features compared to the previously standard 548 MBUX box. In the past, 549 units would occasionally appear randomly but were always equipped on MB's with the augmented VR navigation as the difference between the 548 and 549 is a significantly more powerful Nvidia SOC. FWIW, the 549's additional power also enables the navigation map to display on the driver's side LCD. (see photo)
This lead me to start poking around the interweb looking for 2023 EQBs and multiple dealers have now have data cards on their sites for 2023 EQBs in transit that all list the 549 MBUX unit and this occurs across the 250, 300, and 350 models. I have not spotted a 2023 EQB with the 548 MBUX unit, and this includes vehicles without the additional options that would normally include the upgrade to 549.
Fingers crossed that this is an across-the-board upgrade for 2023 and not just MB having a momentary surplus of 549 units.
Example (not an EQB):

2023 USA Pricing?
FWIW, I’ve still been looking around the interweb and have come across a couple data cards for 2023 EQB’s that include pricing info instead of the $7,777,777 placeholder.
No idea if this is final pricing so I’m taking this with a grain of salt, but the cards are dated last week.
2023 EQB 300 - $56,900
2023 EQB 350 - $60,550
2023 Destination and delivery - $1,150

I’ve been seeing the same things, both base pricing and all cars having 549. It’s very interesting to see. I’ve also seen a ton of cars with P82 Guard 360 for $50. C Classes too. That I bet is simply surplus.

I was told from the beginning that the price goes up every year by 2-4%. I didn’t calculate how much it actually did, considering all options.

“Production” Date v Build Date
from my vantage point a production date and build date are different. The latter may be a matter of allocation availability at your dealer.
I have a Production Date of 12/3 and no info that it is off schedule. Apparently a ship is en route to Baltimore VPC.

I do did not order a EQB but I did order a GLB on 7-1-22. It was suppose to built in 9-22 and shipped 10-22. My vehicle was built 11-22 and is still waiting to ship as of 12-13-22. Cannot figure out why MB takes so long to ship a vehicle once built. No third row seat.

Once your car is loaded aboard, NetStar will show the name of the ship. Using that name, you can follow it on https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels. It will probably be on a ship out of Bremerhaven on this line: https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules. On the latter website, using Bremerhaven and the destination port (Baltimore or Savannah if you're located on the East Coast or in the South or Midwest) you can see the schedule for the ship. My car took two months from the production date to show up at the Baltimore VPC, which was actually the ship's second stop in Baltimore. Like others, I'm still waiting for my car.
