So it looks like about a 15K premium over the petrol versions but there may be a lot more standard features included. If I read it right, it looks like the Driver Assistance and Technology packages are standard on all levels so, it's a decent value, all things considered. For us, it will come down to how greedy the dealers are... Less than $5K over MSRP would make it an attractive price but more than that would probably be too much.

P.S. One of the articles called the EQB300 a FWD model only but I don't think that's correct. My understanding is that the 250 may be FWD but the 300/350 are AWD.

In the configurator tool Driver's Assistance is optional on every model. You are correct that the EQB 250 is the only FWD model. The EQB 300 and 350 are both 4Matic as a standard.

True but the official MBUSA release shows several of the Driver Assistance and Technology features are listed as standard. For instance
Standard equipment highlights for the EQB include EQ-specific design language with front and rear LED light bands that are seamlessly integrated into the black- panel grill. The EQB interior features the new-generation MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) Multimedia System with Augmented Reality Navigation system with Electric Intelligence highlighted on the 10.25” Digital Instrument Cluster and 10.25” Touchscreen Multimedia Display. Certain safety features such as the Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist, and Active Brake Assist are also equipped as standard. In many critical situations, the latter has the ability to prevent a collision or reduce its severity with autonomous braking. The system is also able to brake for stationary vehicles and crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.

I'll believe it when I see it but I hope it's true. If not, then this car is definitely overpriced for the base model.

You can look at the order guide to see what's standard and not. The extra standard features are the dual 10.25 inch displays and the multimedia package over the gas powered cars (US market). So that's maybe $2500 worth of stuff. But the standard drivers assistance tech is the same standard items across both models, and both still offer the driving assistant package plus which gives you the level two autonomy and really advanced stuff.
