Mercedes Me Connect App and Home Charging
I have not been able to get the Home Charging info working in the Mercedes Me app. There is no problem with reporting in the app from Electrify America (that is, when an EA station actually works or is available). I am able to set the home location for the charger and the cost per kwh. The charger shows on the vehicle nav system. But when I charge, there seems to be no way to "activate" it like an EA charger. And it does not give me info about charge and cost. I know someone with the EQB whose app does work but someone else set it up for him so he can't tell me. Worthless MB Connect phone support simply said that the feature doesn't work. I did delete and re-enable per the MB notification. Any ideas appreciated.

My 2022 EQB is no longer communicating with the Mercedes App. My EQS communicates just fine, so I know it is not a phone issue. The EQB is back for the second time to the dealer to try to solve the problem, with Mercedes in Germany now involved. I think it will need a new Hermes module, if not more, but they don't seem to want to start throwing parts at it yet. Anyone else have this problem, and if so how was it solved?

For home charging, the Mercedes Me app only tracks smart chargers that can report usage via the car. Unlike public chargers (Electrify America), most standard home chargers can’t “activate” from the app or report cost automatically. If your EQB app works, it’s likely because a compatible smart charger was set up. Without a smart charger that communicates with the car, the app won’t give charge or cost info—unfortunately, MB Connect support is correct that basic home chargers aren’t fully supported.
