Over the last few months, both before and after the expiration of the EV Lease tax credit, I have been receiving emails and snail-mails from my selling dealer as well as another more local dealer I've used for service with an EQB "lease offer.' I have a 2023 EQB300 with a lease expiring July 2026. As I've said many times on this forum, it is the worst car I've ever owned made worse by my losing a lemon law case back in April 2024. MB is offering a lease of a 2025 EQB with over $21K in "incentives' effectively burying the negative equity in the 2023 EQB. This is for a 2025 EQB ostensibly with just basic equipment (mine is loaded with everything except AMG package) with cash on signing around $6K and a 39 month lease with around $790 in payments. Since nobody seems to be stocking the now-discoutinued EQB, these are ho doubt cars sitting at the port. Of course, I would never fall for such a scheme of rolling over perhaps $18K in negative equity into a lease of a lesser-equipped car, particularly one that is discontinued and one that has left such a sour taste in my mouth. Really reeks of MB desperation to get rid of these clunkers. Curious if anyone else is receiving similar promos. The prices differ slightly between dealers because one is in NY where doc fee is capped at $175 and the other in NJ where I have seen doc fees at $699 and higher.

I have no doubt that there are some “deals” (cough) out there for the random remaining EQBs and that the offers can radically vary by region. FWIW, when I turned our leased EQB into the dealer a couple weeks ago they did not have any new MB EQs of any type in stock, and a single used EQB on the lot priced to move.
Gotta say that we are loving the 2026 BMW iX60. Hopefully MB can really up its game on its upcoming generation of EVs. Looks like the GLB EV (EQB replacement) will be unveiled on Dec 9 and will follow the upcoming GLC EV to market.

Had I been able to lemon the EQB, I already had an iX picked out. If I were leasing an EV today, the iX would definitely be my vehicle of choice. I've lost a lot of trust in Mercedes after this vehicle and particularly the way that MBUSA handled a very problematic car. And the only way to express displeasure with Mercedes USA seems to be giving the dealer a negative rating. This is tremendously unfair because both dealers who have worked on this car have done their utmost to repair it in as timely a manner as possible, even to the point of the service manager at one dealership arguing with MBUSA to replace the high voltage battery due to numerous error codea. MB response to him was to try another software update and clear the codes. I wanted to display large lemon magnetic patches on the car but wife wouldn't let me.
Enjoy the iX M60.

That was my experience as well with our dealer. We’ve had our GL350 far longer than expected (mostly due to “diesel gate” extended warranty) and a replacement GLS would fit our needs perfectly. If I consider another MB, it will be because of our dealer and despite MBUSA.Originally Posted by nsoltz
