Indeed. FWIW, we picked up a BMW iX iDrive60 over the weekend despite a few months left on the EQB lease just to be done with it. I’m willing to pay off the lease to get it out of the driveway, but I’d also like to see what MB is gonna do with the high voltage battery replacement since ours is included in the recall.

MB is putting out the GLC EV soon so maybe EQB buyers will get that instead.

FWIW, there is also a smaller EV (GLB EV) coming based on MB's MMA platform that is likely the more direct replacement for the EQB.

I guess I was talking about the one year fill in (gap) while the GLB EV gets announced and arrive here. Unless it is coming soon enough so there is no gap?

Surprised you both hate the EQB so much. Someone actually compared theirs to an EQS.https://mbworld.org/forums/eqb-x243-...ml#post9002469

When I was attempting to lemon the EQB, I looked closely at the ix M60 and that would have been the replacement. No idea what to do at lease-end in July 2026.

I’m sure there’s somebody out there that thinks their 2005 Civic rides better than a new S-Class. I respect their right to have their own opinion, but that doesn’t men I have to agree with it.

That said, I also was happy with the EQB the day I drove it home otherwise we would have bought something else. Nearly three years later my opinion of its inherent quality has been...revised.

I see. I am just sharing and linking their opinions because they have an EQS so have actual ownership experience.

Those opinions might be more about how bad they feel about the EQS as much or more than how much they like the EQB...I'm just sayin'

Just read about the new GLB at Autoblog. I know my opinion will be a minority one, but I'm just fine with my EQB. All the tech on the GLB...sounds like trouble to me...see Engineering Explained guy's recent video of his 6 month ownership experience with his Lucid. One of the things I like about the EQB is the relative simplicity, and tech that has been perfected over the years near the end of its production run (yes, I know a couple owners here have had bad luck). Like the new door handles and AI integration...no thanks. Individual needs vary, but an extra 100 miles of range and faster charging time is useless to me, as I charge at home and it is a metro/mid range vehicle for me. If an EQB is your only vehicle and you routinely drive long distance...you might have issues, otherwise I don't pine for a new one.

Glad it is working for you, I especially like the physicial buttons for the climate control on the EQB, I am not ready to transition to screen only interface yet but at the same time, that is pretty much how every car manufacturers are nowadays, so will eventually need to adapt when we replace the car. That said, those star headlights and star taillights is something else to get used to being MB's design language across several models for a few years or the rest of the decade actually.

From the initial look, I’d say the GLB EV benefits greatly from the new EV platform instead of being grafted into something else. Hopefully the release version of MB.OS is fully baked, or at least MB is prepared to actively support it.

If MBUX 2.0 and MBUX 3.0 was any indication, it is going to be buggy until a model year or a few later. Unless the former two was buggy because MB was too focused on the development of MB OS. So I am giving MB the benefit of doubt.

GLB EV looks to be a huge upgrade over the EQB. If the lease is right, will probably use the loyalty accelerator to get out of my lease 5 months early and get into a 2027 GLB EV.

Anything is a huge upgrade over the EQB. I just question whether any of the new EV's will actually be sold in US.
