EQE SUV only charging at 32Amp, 7.4kw ???!?

I just picked up my EQE SUV 350 4matic and had the charge point charger installed.
Installed a 60 amp circuit breaker, so the charger is pushing 48 amp. Car is charging at 8.4kw.
Seems that the reason i am not hitting the advertised 9.6kw rate is due to the electrician installing a 208v cable, rather than a 240v.

Don’t assume that the Chargepoint is delivering the full 48A. Call Chargepoint and see if they remotely down rated the amps on the Flex. There have been reports of them doing so for ‘safety reasons’. Once you’ve answered some questions about your install hardware, they can remotely switch it back to the full 48A continuous.
Not saying this is the reason, but worth checking on first.

I think our cars in canada are locked to 32amp

I did a trouble shoot with ChargePoint. According to them, the 208v line installed line is hindering the full charge. So it does align with the 8.2/3kw the car is displaying. According to my electrician, local NYC, code is 208/220v. 240 is not an option I am told.

Finally plugged in my EQE 350 4Matic. To my dismay it will only AC charge at a max of 32AMP, 7.4kW.
All literature says it is 40amp, 9.6KW.
Is this happening to everyone else? If this is the case, Mercedes advertising is obviously wrong (false) - and I can't believe they are limiting AC charging to 32Amp on such a huge battery.
Brutal!

@bytemaster0 would you be open to sharing your VIN by private message?
I have Mercedes Canada involved and they are looking for a US EQE vin that is confirmed charging at 9.6kw. They want to compare my VINs against that to see what the difference is, and why we are only charging at 7.6kw in Canada.
Would really appreciate it !

After months of back and forth, the dealer states that Germany tells them vehicles in Canada are software limited to 32amp level 2 charging due to cold weather battery charging concerns. Apparently this is not a concern for US vehicles and their charge rate is 40amp @ level 2.
I think the Merc engineer who made this decision needs to give their head a shake considering that some US states are colder than many Canadian regions ... and oh, the Tesla I bought in 2012 charged at 80 amps on level 2!

In the US, almost all of the EQE SUV's competition charges at 11kw, so 9.6kw suggests Mercedes undersized their on-board charger hardware vs the competition. 7.4kw is just sad.
If temps are the excuse why not just regulate with a thermal sensor...

2023 EQE 500 SUV electric and 2024 Jaguar F-PACE SVR 5.0L
Cadillac Lyriq and GMC Hummer can do 19.2 kW (240V x 80A) which is a requirement for my next EV. I'll have to upgrade my residential service to accommodate the 100 AMP circuit for the charger though. Might as well buy a bigger house too while I'm at it I guess... maybe something with a three or four car garage.

@bernie.EQE50SUV I am away from my car and cannot test this, but try turning ECO mode off and setting max charge to 80%. It has been suggested the EQO is a limiting factor.
