What would you do differently

If you had a do-over, what would you have done differently when deciding to buy an eqe suv?

Instead of ordering then waiting 3 months for it to arrive at the dealer, I would just wait for the dealer build up some stock. Then negotiate for a better price. Earlier in the year there were concerns about supply and having to wait 6-12 months for the order of any EV to be fulfilled. It is currently a buyers market.

Stock on hand would also allow you to see the colours in person and having to pick one from a web build page or brochure. Make a difference.

Body panels were the only thing I really checked before buying my EQE SUV... and they're all perfect on mine, despite being built in Alabama. Had some plastic parts that weren't snapped in properly and the ones next to the taillights in particular would have allowed water to ingress. Also had a few rattles but those are now resolved. Thee passsenger headrest rattle though was right in my ear and literally drove me so nuts that I almost sold the car the first month of ownership, but luckily the dealer was able to fix it.

Anywho, back to the original question: I'd buy a 350 with rear steer and the performance subscription (for life of vehicle) instead of my 500. That has everything I really want at a price point that won't make all the little problems 100 grand annoying.

Car drives great.

If I could do it over, I'd put it off altogether until NACS was installed and details about Supercharger access were made public. I'd also wait until Digital Key was supported. I would really advise against getting a 2023 unless you can get a massive discount on it.

I totally get where you're coming from, but at least in my case, we have good enough charger infrastructure that "it just works." Adapters work well enough, and while I don't *love* the idea of using adapters, CCS connectors will still be plentiful in the near future, with tons more being installed. I don't think that supercharger access is all that it's cracked up to be where we are anyway - extremely short cable lengths, and soon-to-be crowded charging locations will quickly become a pain point. Only way this works better is with more infrastructure, and NEVI, MB, and the EV manufacturer coalition are on track to do just that.

Give it another 4 weeks Quinni! It might get better. Did for me anyways. I'm now sold on EVs being the future. A Tesla is much more "beginner friendly" though. Their software is more mature and their charging network is 1000% better than EA. So if I had to do it all over again I'd buy one of those as my first EV. I think that would have been less stressful while I figured out what I needed to alleviate my range anxiety.

2024 AMG EQE SUV , 2021 E63S Wagon - gone, 2018 E63S Sedan - gone
I'm thoroughly enjoying my 2024 AMG SUV after coming from a 2021 E63S wagon. Car was delivered in late December and now has about 1400 miles. One of the issues was that Mercedes Me initially got hung up activating some of the prepaid services, but that got sorted out by Level 2 in Germany within 3 days. Then there's been an intermittent error during startup for one of the sensors. Software update applied and it's only happened 2 times since then. The dealer ordered a new sensor two weeks ago, but it hasn't arrived. The range has improved to 235 miles at 80% SOC. I ordered red calipers, but the 22" wheels make it almost impossible to see. Fast charger infrastructure is super here in Raleigh, NC There are multiple EV 350KW chargers within 3 miles of my home. 100% of my charging is at home via a 48A Wallbox Pulsar unit.
