I am wondering if people use Tesla charger at home for charging their EQE? What adapter are being used for the conversion?
Thank you.
Thank you.

I do, but I’m not in the US. We need a Gen 3 to make it work, but we all use CCS. Originally Posted by rajkumarkarthic

I use a Tesla Universal Wall Connector. It has both a J1772 and a NACS connection. It works well with both the EQE and the Model S.
You can buy I Tesla tap. Get the one that is the same as the output of your charger. They range from 48 to 80 amps.

How has the experience been using the Tesla Universal Wall Connector? I have an installation scheduled for it to use with my EQE SUV. Opted for the Tesla universal unit because I know MB already has plans to shift to NACS eventuallyOriginally Posted by Bluffton Bob

It will give your EQ false error codes that you will pay for later, IN-Service😵

I have been using a Tesla Universal Wall Connector almost daily since mid January with both our 2023 EQE SUV and our Tesla. I have had no issues with either vehicle. The only issue is my wife figuring how to get the right connector to use with the EQE

Apart from being the only one with both NACS and J1772, it also has power sharing and allows "daisy chaining" up to 6 chargers while using one circuit.
i will be installing two using daisy chaining. I think power sharing is such an important feature for households with more than one car; and I am surprised that most of the popular ones like ChargePoint don't even have this feature.

No, certainly not. I'm very sorry to see that you're having issues, but a Tesla destination charger isn't a source of them. All L2 EVSEs are straight hookups to your mains, with nothing inbetween. Just a relay with a pulse-width-modulated communications bus on the comms pins to tell what the maximum rated current can be from the wall so it doesn't trip the breaker or melt the EVSE. The charger is in the car only. I've done plenty of Tesla destination charging and it works perfectly well.Originally Posted by Ant`Toe`Knee K

I literally had this problem for two weeks now in and out of service department with eqe. Blinks red with Tesla universal wall connector after it charges a little and gives me charging error. Originally Posted by Ant`Toe`Knee K
