2025 Maserati Grecale Folgore features premium materials, as expected from the Italian automaker. It has excellent build quality and a cabin that screams luxury thanks to its thick synthetic leather upholstery, metal trim and carbon-fiber touches. Like the gas-powered Grecale, the Folgore offers comfort and opulence few rivals can match.

there are two things I don’t like the EQE AMG Interior. The Alcantara and the Neoprene material on the center console, dash and doors. I would like all of that to be either Nappa leather or what Mercedes calls “MBTEX with Nappa Look”.

Yes, I would like Nappa learher in rhe areas you stated. Maybe on rhe nexr car. There was a lot more leather on my 2021 E53S wagon.

Those 'non leather' 'what looks like somekind of fabric' is another way to lower production cost. The one thing I do not like the new MBs is the use of 'squeaky' plastics / dash

The iX has the best interior IMHO. I even like the crystals controls. I just have to try and not look at the car as I'm walking up to it, like Medusa, or I might turn to stone. 
It's just so fookin' fugly! Shesh! Once you're inside and the door closes it's a nice place to be though.
The recycled ocean plastic seats in the Maserati have some really cool copper stitching that matches the copper carbon fiber. I think I prefer them and I usually go for the real leather. Kind of keeps with the nautical/Poseidon/trident theme too.

I do have a HUD. And I noticed in the HUD the green steering wheel icon turns red when it thinks I’m not holding the steering wheel. I then have to move my hands around on different parts of the steering wheel for it to register that I am holding the wheel. The problem is I get these alerts even if I’m holding the wheel with one hand or two hands. It’s like the capacitive steering wheel isn’t sensitive enough to notice that I’m holding it.
1. Green steering wheel: hands on wheel, can sense lane markers so steering assist is active.
2. Grey wheel: lane markers not sensed (no markings, lane to wide, etc.) so steering assist is not active. You need to manually steer.
3. Red hands, grey wheel, rough/bumpy road so you need to pay attention to steering as steering assist is not active/sufficient (?). I was not entirely clear on all the possibilities, but basically it comes down to pay attention and steer the car when the red hands show up.
No hands detected is apparently the warning in the center of the dash; if you are not getting that, the car is sensing your hands on the wheel.
Corrections to the above welcome.

I mean, with the tariffs anyways, there really aren't any other competitors around $120K. Porsche is too girly, BMW is too fugly, AMG EQE SUV isn't that different which leaves, ta-da, this Bianco Astro Grecale Folgore with recycled fishing net seats:
Mine'll have the fancier 21" wheels but otherwise should look just like this one. Kind of funny how reviewer thought it looked a little like a Jaguar... not the new trans Jaguar, the old hetero Jaguar. Ahem!

I might have considered a new Polestar 3 but I really don't like the "your whole life is owned by Google" feeling. And it's hard enough to service a Volvo in the USA already. But they just had to make it even harder, didn't they? Might as well drive a Maserati then!

I'm logging power consumption now that the ambient temperatures are staying below 40 degrees. I've been alternating between No Recuperation and Normal Recuperation to see the differences while needing cabin heat at 72 degrees. What I've determined is that not using Normal Recuperation increases energy consumption compared to No Recuperation. My 2024 AMG EQEX4 has a heat pump which scavenges heat from the motors and the battery. Normal Recuperation generates more heat from the motors than No Recuperation which allows for the electric heaters to be used for less time. It does seem counterintuitive, but it's a difference in the first 10 minutes of starting the vehicle of about 15%.

The logic here is that frequent charging due to frequent regen heats up the battery and is more effectively scavenged by the heat pump. While I don't have numbers, it makes sense.

After reading your post, I was trying to find more details on the heat pump but I didn't see anything. I did come cross this recent press release from two weeks ago though and found it interesting. A lot of little improvements to look forward to. Here's the bit about improving the heat pump:
"The MMA models will be the first Mercedes‑Benz vehicles to feature an air-to-air heat pump as standard- no longer taking the indirect route via a water circuit. I was aware that current Gen didn't support air-to-air. It somewhat technically does - the battery is affected by air temperature, so you could say that the air does have an effect on the heat pump's efficiency. Still, it would allow for some additional efficiencies when the battery is cold and the air starts to warm up around the car.
The heat pump supposedly adds 10% efficiency boost in current form. In practice, when comparing to my sedan that doesn't have a heat pump (but still has a waste heat water loop), the difference is minimal unless you do aggressive driving or a lot of DC fast charging.
Interestingly, because the heat pump draws heat from the battery faster than the standard waste heat loop, the battery has to be preconditioned earlier in the SUV as it ends up colder when heating the cabin.

One year anniversary for my AMG EQEX4. 6041 miles, $291.04 electric transactions. Equivalent gas charges @18 mpg for my previous E63S wagon would have been $1426. Cool. I'm ignoring the Service B that I would have needed for an additional $700!

Ahem!Unfortunately I dedicated my career at White Sands Missile Range in NM Specializing in High Energy Lasers. I could not have anything exotic in the desert southwest since the closest service shops were in Arizona Dallas or Houston so I’ve been buying Asian appliances or GM Muscle since I got the full GM Employee Discount since 1987 until 2019.
i liked the Alfa Stelvio top spec when it debuted at the NYC Auto Show with its potent TTV6 and nearly 50/50 weight balance but would only lease that beast out of El Paso Texas. That electric Maserati provides more Panache with that big *** Trident! Unfortunately my kids are too tall for the back seat so I would keep it folded and transport my hunting gear to the Range and up to the local mountains 70-100 miles away.
maybe will get AMG EQE SUV in 3-years if can score a killah lease deal like @stealth.pilot for my Athens GA residence.
But appreciate the uniqueness of your Maserati Grecale Folgore! Forsan et Haec Olim Meminisse Iuvabit!

More headroom in the back than a Porsche Macan FWIW... I just love the way it feels to drive. Feel is the right word, every little undulation in the road. It's almost like the opposite of the isolated magic carpet ride I had in the Mercedes. The difference is quite dramatic. Maybe my old butt will yearn for a cushier ride later but for now I'm pleased with the trade.

It's almost like the opposite of the isolated magic carpet ride I had in the Mercedes. The difference is quite dramatic. Maybe my old butt will yearn for a cushier ride later but for now I'm pleased with the trade.
